Tiffany Shades originated from Louis Comfort Tiffany who lived between 1848 and 1933. He was an American artist and designer who promoted the copper foil method of stained glass construction, which is still popular today making tiffany Shades and stained glass windows.

He founded the stained glass company in 1985 which was later renamed as the more famous Tiffany Studios which kept its name until it closed for business in 1932.
